woot. it's been a week since i last posted, i realise. it was one busy action-packed week. okay, not quite action-packed but still.. tuesday was duty. wednesday went mediacorp watch singapore idol, not bad, but nothjing special. thursday went down to marina square with a couple of camp mates to see the jolin tsai sign sing thing. friday was supposed to be bball but friday being a friday night, not many people could. ok that was nonsensical (is that even the right spelling?) saturday was duty again. pretty sian sian sian. what do i expect? and that sums up another week. weeks are flying by quickly these days, good thing in a way. which means i'll be out of the army in 5+ months, a long time but nearing. and i finally got my 3SG rank after so long. but still pretty good, close to 7 months cuz it was with effect from 1 June 06. in the army, you really see the effects of academic results on your work and your assumed potential. so they give a 4As student a third sergeant. that's the way it works. like how they take in all the good students for OCS, with a few unconventional cadets thrown in as well, just so ppl won't say it's elitist or something. that's the way everything works. you do well in school in studies, your path is pretty much set up and it's pretty much pretty. gee oh well, to quote zx quoting his fencing coach: "this is life.." (in a weird romanian accent right?)
